COVID-19 UPDATE: We are now open for essential and needs led eyecare, so if for example you feel your vision has changed or your glasses need updating we can now see you. We are operating a 'one in, one out' policy as much as possible so you will feel safe when you are in the practice and we will ask you to wear a mask and sanitise your hands on arrival - we all have PPE as recommended by NHS England.
We have improved our eyetest to include Optomap Widefield retinal imaging - this means Dr Doig or Mr Hartigan no longer need to get as close up to check the health inside your eyes - this is safer for everyone as well as giving a much better image of the back of your eyes than we could previously achieve. This is standard for our private tests and a small additional charge for our NHS patients.
Regular visits to your optician are as important as visits to your doctor or dentist. You might not be aware of it, but the standard of your eye health can indicate other potential conditions such as diabetes or heart disease, as well as eye problems like glaucoma or cataracts.
That’s why you should only ever expect the very best standards of care whenever you visit the optician; your eyes are important!
At Willetts & Doig Optometrists in Cowes this is exactly what you will receive – an outstanding and professional service to optimise your vision, delivered via a combination of personal attention and a tailored selection of products.
The thousands of patients that we already care for – both from the Isle of Wight and beyond - are testament to this but we’d love you to come and try us out for yourself. We are fully qualified to address any of your visual problems and conditions and have a unique range of specialised equipment, including the Island's first 3D digital eye scanner and are the only practice with Optomap Widefield imaging which lets us thoroughly assess your eye health from a Covid-19 aware safer distance than ever before.
